This week’s Workday Adaptive Planning and Reporting Tips & Tricks post explains an option in the structure options for GL accounts, custom accounts and assumption accounts.
The wording is not explicit and is actually misleading. If the developer wants the actual data to come from any model or cube sheet, the selection has to be “Show Actuals…” and if from the database/TB, “Enable Actuals for link.”
For a Custom Account, the options are described beneficially as follows:
The same more accurate descriptions of the options are in the assumption account options as follows:
“Enable Actuals” is equivalent to the GL Account’s “Show Actuals” and “No Actuals for account, show plan data” is equivalent to “Enable Actuals for Link” in the GL Account options.
In summary, the wording is what causes the confusion/issue. The custom account and assumption account verbiage is much more accurate than the GL Account options. However, the net result is they both do the same thing.Visit Revelwood’s Knowledge Center for our Workday Adaptive Planning Tips & Tricks or sign up here to get our Workday Adaptive Planning Tips & Tricks delivered directly to your inbox.
